Exterior Staircase Rebuild
Full demo and rebuild of a rear exterior staircase that had rotted through at the stringers and treads. New pressure-treated stringers, fresh treads and risers, and a white spindle railing system tied back into the existing second-story landing.
The Challenge
Original framing had failed where the bottom stringer met the concrete slab, leaving the entire run unsafe to walk on. The existing upper landing and siding had to stay in place and weather-tight throughout the rebuild.
Our Solution
We stripped the old stair assembly, poured a new footing tied to the slab, cut and set fresh pressure-treated stringers plumb to the upper landing, and finished the run with clean white spindles and a painted top rail to match the home's existing trim package.
