Modern Entry Door Install
Swap of an original six-panel solid entry door for a modern wood slab with five horizontal frosted-glass lites. Included demo of the original jamb, plumb-and-square rough-opening prep, a new threshold, and fresh trim inside and out.
The Challenge
The original opening had settled slightly out of square over the years, and the new slab was a tight-tolerance product that would not close cleanly if the frame was off even a quarter-inch.
Our Solution
We took the existing jamb back to the rough opening, shimmed and reset the new frame perfectly plumb, ran a new threshold into the existing tile, and finished the reveal with clean painted casing on both sides.
